Safehaven Small Breed Rescue

non-profit, no-kill, toy breed dog rescue

I've been adopted!

Chloe and Sissy are going to have each other to play with.  They were adopted together and are currently living with their adult human family in Clarion PA.  These two little girls are being pampered and loved and can enjoy a long happy life together in their forever home.

Cory and Richard will be living together as they were both adopted by the same couple in Akron, Ohio.  True lovers of the breed, they didn't care that Cory had one eye or that Richard has seizures.  The boys' new family looked past their imperfections and saw the wonderful little guys that they are.

Camille, on her way to her forever home, in Queens NY.  This photo was taken at one of the rest stops.  Pretty in Pink, Camille is being treated like the princess she truely is.

Charro, now known as Stella, is a happy little girl in her new home in Oil City, PA.  She has other Chihuahuas to play with but her mom says she likes the company of the Golden Retriever.

Little Lobo, now known as Bailey, has found his forever home in the state of Virginia!  As an "only child", Bailey will be spoiled rotten, as he deserves.

Little Lena, the mother of our pups is now in her forever home, right here in town.  She has two wonderful women and an "older adopted brother" to help her through the transition from puppy mill breeder, to family pet.  This sweet little girl will soon be taking walks through town and living the life of a spoiled rotten Chihuahua!

Mr. Willy, our one-eyed old man, finally found his forever home after being at Safehaven for over one year.   Willy won the heart of an older woman who knew she could give Willy the loving home he deserved for so long.  Willy is currently living with his new mom and his doggie sister, in Avon, NY, and has made himself quite at home.

Gizmo was dumped into a night deposit box at a pound in Ohio, along with a note that said the owner just had a baby and could no longer care for the dog.  Little did they know that giving up this beautiful little boy was the best thing they could have done for him.  Gizmo now lives in Geneseo, NY along with his mom and adopted brother Palomino.    Such a sweet and loving boy deserves a home where he is spoiled rotten, and he has it.

Benji, left at a shelter at the age of 12, with a severe heart murmur, spent over 18 months with us.  Now he has his very own family and is living out his senior years in Buffalo, NY.  Benji was lucky to find a family willing to deal with his health issues and age, who are willing to allow him to lounge in the sun and enjoy the rest of his life.
